Salesforce.com Sets Sights on the Smallest Businesses
On-demand CRM (customer relationship management) vendor Salesforce.com on Tuesday will announce Contact Manager Edition, an application aimed at companies with just one or two employees.
The offering is priced at US$9 per user per month. Salesforce.com expects a ready audience for it, said Bruce Francis, vice president of corporate strategy.

Practice Fusion aligns with Salesforce.com
I was writing earlier today about the need for health IT to become mainstream. This afternoon I got an example of how that is happening.
Practice Fusion said Salesforce.com has taken a minority stake in the company, added an executive to its board, and will roll out its online patient health record on the system as early as this fall.
The rest of the company’s offerings will follow.
